Happy Holidays

The happiest holidays for me are the ones where I can do absolutely nothing. Relaxing, online shopping, reading, and binge-tv watching are on my list of “activities” for the rest of this year. Whether you celebrated Hanukkah, or plan to celebrate Christmas or Kwanzaa, I hope you take some time to recharge your battery. I’ve already starting recharging mine by doing something I love, which is attending live music shows, starting with the Robert Glasper Trio at Jazz Showcase here in Chicago.

Recharging your battery means different things to different people. For some, it means heading to the gym to transform their bodies and get that natural energy boost that comes from a good cardio and weight training workout. For other people, getting their battery recharged means eliminating toxic people and negative thoughts in order to thrive, while some folks just need a full 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep in their own beds.  Sometimes, stepping away from a project that is causing stress is the best solution to get your energy level back and make that project shine.  It’s okay to stop, step back, or step down when the load gets too heavy. Learn to listen to your body and listen to your conscience.

Until next year,

Tiffany

Marc Jacobs Decadence

Marc Jacobs DecadenceI am absolutely in LOVE with Marc Jacobs Decadence, which I’ve been wearing non-stop since its debut, but I’ve been so busy that I haven’t made time to post about the newest fragrance from Marc Jacobs Beauty until tonight. The first time I tested the scent, I was hooked BUT…I waited. Trying on fragrances without letting them “sit” on my skin for the rest of the day has bitten me in the behind (and wallet) many times before, so as much as I wanted to sprint to the counter with my credit card in hand, I waited. Have you ever smelled a fragrance so good that you think about it days later? When that happens to me (it seldom does), I know I’m onto something good.

I have to admit, the clever packaging of the bottle (it comes with a dark green python print top that has a chain and a tassel which allows you to carry it like a purse) caught my attention almost as much as the lush, sexy, scent that is pretty much bewitching.  I mean, who doesn’t love the idea of a miniature Jacobs bag?  But packaging aside, and in all seriousness, this fragrance just smells damn good. It is enticing. It is alluring, and if it works with your body chemistry, it will be worth every penny.

Until next time,

Tiffany
