I began blogging back in 2007, and I wasn’t really sure of how the direction my writing would go, but as time passed, my passion for wanting to write about cosmetics and makeup artistry grew, and this site became the place for me to lend my voice to the many topics pertaining to beauty. As a woman of color, I feel a personal responsibility to educate readers about the cosmetic industry and how limitations exist, even when brands make the smarter decision to diversify their products. I look for products that work on all skin tones and love to post pictures of my findings, along with details about how those products worked for my skin (and my budget). As a decent human being, I also feel responsible for reporting how products really work, how companies showcase those products, and whether or not they are worth the time and money. I love health and beauty products, makeup artistry, and anything dealing with beautifying oneself.
