Blue is the New Black

Creating a smokey eye with blue palettes. I’ll let you in on a little secret. A smokey eye does not have to be done in black. I absolutely LIVE for playing around with different colors to “smoke” my eyes and this month, I’m going with shades of blue. I’d almost forgotten about my Make Up For Ever Aqua Eye Liner in Blue (metallic teal) since I hadn’t used it in a while. After combining it with some OCC pigment in Saturate and Inglot in #315, I got the look I wanted! When you make the switch from black to other colors, you’re also giving yourself the freedom to wear a smokey eye for the daytime, which looks really modern and sets you apart from everyone else. There are makeup rules, but some are meant to be broken!

Inglot via Beautylish!

Finally, Inglot has arrived at Beautylish and you have the opportunity to customize Inglot Freedom Systemshadows, concealers, lipsticks, blush, and foundation the way YOU want them organized. As a makeup artist, I have been guilty of buying and OVER buying in the eye shadow department, just because I couldn’t walk away from all the pretty colors. Inglot, one of my newest favorite lines, allows customers to create their own palettes via their Freedom System. I’ve blogged about Inglot several times before because I love that I can create all matte palettes, all glitter, or shimmer, or….well, you get what I’m saying.

Now Beautylish Boutique has added Inglot to the roster of brands they are selling and you really need to head over there to see what the hype is all about! FREE shipping if you spend over $35 is certainly tempting, and if you spend UNDER $35 dollars, you get a flat rate shipping fee of $5. Get your spring colors now!

Condense and Compact

Inglot Freedom System

The perfect addition to your makeup kit

The last time I posted anything, the discussion was all about organizing my kits and keeping my products ready to go at all times. In order to help myself and stay focused, I just purchased the Inglot Freedom System for my eye shadows. This isn’t my first time using their products, but I had to expand what I already owned.

In case you haven’t heard, Inglot is one of the best cosmetic brands out there, with rich, affordable colors for the face, lips, eyes, and nails. I first encountered the brand while attending The Makeup Show a few years back, and instantly fell in makeup love with the wide range of highly pigmented colors. The 10 Eye Shadow Square allows me to mix and match eye shadow colors and keep them centrally located in a neat, easy to use compact that I can fit in my kit.

Inglot Cosmetics

I finally had the opportunity to purchase and use my new Inglot Freedom System Eyeshadow Palette on an actress during the filming of “Under Nitrous”, a new pilot that is bound to be a hit! Inglot Cosmetics is home to the Freedom System that allows you to mix and match shades for the face, eyes, brows, and lips. These highly pigmented, high quality products are a product addict’s dream and can be purchased online. I’m in love with my matte shadows in super supple greens like #331 and #333. You have to spend a bit of time surfing the site and paying close attention to the textures (some shadows are pearl, or matte, etc.). Aside from giving us Paraben-Free products, Inglot also sells palette containers for your products, which allows you to really customize your cosmetics in the way that works for you.
